Why am I battling to register my VCpay app?
After downloading VCpay from your app store, you are required to register with your South African ID number. We need this for FICA purposes before we can create your VCpay account.
If you are battling with this registration process, it may be because we are not able to successfully validate your details. Please make sure you enter the details as per your SA ID. If it still fails, you can contact our call centre for assistance.
What if I’m living in South Africa but do not have a South African ID and would like to use VCpay?
Unfortunately VCpay is only available for South African citizens at this time.
However, we are always looking to improve the app and make it available for all international citizens. This functionally may appear in future, so keep checking the VCpay website for more information.

The application won’t let me delete one of my Virtual Cards from my Card History page?
VCpay allows you to delete unused Virtual Cards (marked by a two-tone blue circle) from your Card History.
However, once a card has been used for a purchase, it is then listed in the application as used (marked by a two-tone grey circle) and cannot be deleted from your Card History. Please note this also applies to sent cards; they cannot be deleted if they have been used.
If you need to delete a card for specific reasons, please contact the call center.
Can I send a VCpay Virtual Card to friends and family?
Yes you can! Simply create a VCpay card and send it to your friend directly from the app via email, WhatsApp, WeChat, whatever.
An image and description of the card will then arrive at the recipient, who can use the value of the card at virtually every merchant in South Africa.

Why did my Uber request fail using VCpay?
VCpay cards provide a safe and convenient method for using Uber. When initially linking a VCpay card to your Uber app, make sure to do the following to ensure successful Uber requests:
- Create a Normal Card, not a Single-Use Card.
- Your VCpay account must have a minimum balance of R100.
- Ensure that your location settings are accurate so that the correct Uber domain is used, otherwise the link may be declined as an international transaction.

Can I have money refunded from my VCpay account?
Yes, it is possible. Please contact our call centre for the requirements to start the refunding process.
